Digitalization and cloud technology in schools

In 2016 the Municipality launched what is now one of the most advanced projects for the digitalization of the educational process. The first stage of the project was carried out between 2017 and 2019 at which point all 52 Municipal schools had cloud systems integrated in their teaching process and every teacher and student had an active profile which they used daily.

The second stage started in February 2019, when the municipal Language High School “Ivan Vazov” became the first in Bulgaria and the whole Balkan Peninsula to implement the 1:1 education method, where every student and teacher has their own personal computer device. During the next school year (22-23) the city will have over 100 classes in which students will work only with personal laptops and of the learning process is digitalized.
