The leading Bulgarian economic media is establishing itself in Plovdiv
The Executive Director of Economedia, publisher of Capital – Ms. Galya Prokopieva, shared the idea of positioning the media in the city of Plovdiv during the event of Capital “Business Meeting in Plovdiv and the region”, which took place on November 25. In this way, the media will be a more useful source of information about the business environment in the city and the region, Prokopieva added.
The Plovdiv office will be headed by Ognyan Georgiev – editor for Capital, who points out the dynamic economic development of Plovdiv and the region as the catalyst in making this decision. “We have been following Plovdiv for a long time, but from a distance, and since we think there are many things that are happening and will happen, we want to cover them closely and be involved in them.” shared Georgiev. Apart from the rapid economic growth of the city, the main topics during the panel were the high quality of life and the growing population of Plovdiv – which in 2021 increased with over 24,000 people (district level). The transformation of Bulgarian cities into a better place to live is one of the main objectives before Capital, said Georgiev, expressing his hope that their entry into the city will open the door to many partnerships with local businesses in this direction.
