New 8 million euro manufacturing investment in Plovdiv

Industrial investments in Plovdiv continue to increase with a new plant set to open in one of the economic zones by the middle of next year. The project belongs to the engineering company “INKA Machine Building”, which has been operating in the city since 2015, but in rented premises. Now, with an investment of 8 million euros, the enterprise will move to a new, own location. This will allow the company to improve its logistics and production processes and allow it to expand. And that too is already being prepared.

The company is engaged in engineering in three different sectors – agricultural, transport and construction, for which it manufactures machine bodies, as well as individual parts such as diggers and buckets for excavators, hooks for handling containers in ports, etc. The company’s most complete product is in the forestry sector, where it offers a machine for making wood chips. All the production of INKA Machine Building is exported, and currently the main market is the Netherlands, where it is also present through a trading company of 4 Yuki.

INKA Machine Building is now building its new base, with the first of several buildings currently under construction. The project has an area of 6000 sq.m, of which 4 200 sq.m will be built. Construction is expected to be fully completed and operational by June 2023. The investment in the first hall is in the amount of 8 million euros, of which 4 million are for construction, and the rest are for buying new machines for production.

The company’s plans are larger, and the purchase of additional land next door is currently being finalized, bringing the total area to 22 acres. “This is the first step for us, and we have planned at least two more, with the possibility of an additional hall. Our goal is to create a production center with a high degree of automation of the entire process, so that we can finally offer the production of an entire product. The plan is for all of this to happen in the next 4-5 years,” commented Snezhanka Pancheva, co-owner and manager of INKA Machine Building.

Due to its expansion plans, INKA Machine Building will also be looking for many new employees. The company’s goal is to double the number of employees to 120 people by the time the first new hall opens in June 2023.

“We are currently looking for specialists – engineers, painters, locksmiths, etc. What we offer is a young team with opportunities for professional development – all our experts are young and have developed with us. Our entry into new markets also gives opportunities for the development of our personnel,” commented Pancheva.
