Tri-Wall’s new plant will be built in the Trakia Economic Zone and will provide new jobs and economic growth.
The Japanese company Tri-Wall, a leading manufacturer of paper and cardboard packaging, has announced its intention to invest over 60 million BGN in the construction of a new plant in Bulgaria. The plant will be located in the Trakia Economic Zone (TEZ), one of the fastest-growing industrial zones in the country. The new facility will consolidate Bulgaria’s position as an attractive destination for foreign investment.
During the visit of the Minister of Innovation and Growth, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rosen Karadimov, it was announced that Tri-Wall plans to start production by mid-2026. In September 2024, the company, through its subsidiary Tri-Wall Bulgaria Ltd, purchased a 56-acre plot of land, and the project is currently in the design stage.
Tri-Wall expressed its gratitude to the team of Trakia Economic Zone and its CEO Plamen Panchev for their assistance during the investment preparation process. The company also plans to apply for Class A investor status due to the scale of the project and the significant financial investment.
Tri-Wall is a brand with a long history that began in the USA in the 1950s. Following its success in the local market, the company expanded its reach into Japan. In 2010, its headquarters moved to Hong Kong, a strategic decision given its growing international operations. Today, Tri-Wall has a strong presence in Asia, Europe, and North America as it continues to expand and grow its business.
With its new investment in Bulgaria, Tri-Wall reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development and innovation in the environmentally friendly packaging industry, which will benefit both the economy and the local community.
