The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China through the Municipality of Plovdiv invites companies from the city and the region to participate in one of the largest exhibitions in China – China International Import Expo (CIIE). The exhibition provides new channels for countries and regions for business development, strengthening cooperation and promoting the common prosperity of the world economy and trade. CIIE is an opportunity for Bulgarian companies to directly present their products and services on the Chinese market. The total exhibition area of CIIE exceeds 360,000 square meters and is expected to attract about 150,000 professional purchasers all around the world.
This year’s edition of the fair will take place between 5 and 10 November 2021. It is expected to surpass the scale of the 2020 event, which was attended by companies from 145 countries, including – 100 representatives of Fortune 500 companies and international think tanks, and was visited by over 400,000 people.
The main focus industries are: food and agricultural products, automotive industry, IT, consumer goods, healthcare, economic services.
An online information event will be held on March 10, 2021 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., during which representatives of the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria will present the opportunities the exhibition offers for companies that want to export their products and services to the Chinese market. Each company will have the opportunity to ask their specific questions after the presentation.

The meeting will be attended by Mr. Wang Xuekun, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Bulgaria, Mr. Zhu Xiangbao, Second Secretary, as well as representatives of the Business Development Unit of Plovdiv Municipality.
