The first sod of the new factory was already made in Plovdiv
Strategic investment agreement for the construction of a factory for production of high-tech aircraft products for “Airbus”, signed the Minister of Defense Mr. Krasimir Karakachanov and “Airbus Helicopters” vice president Mr. Serj Duran.
The first sod of the factory was already made in Plovdiv. In the first three years, more than 300 people will start work and it is possible to increase this number in the next eight years to 800 people. In addition, the French company “Airbus Helicopters” will provide a “Dofin” helicopter for use of the Bulgarian Naval Forces.
An Arbitration agreement, settling a dispute over an unsettled relations between the Ministry of Defense and “Airbus Helicopters” under a contract from 2005 year for delivery of “Cogar” and “Panther” helicopters. “With the signing of the agreement, we raise our cooperation to a new, higher level,” said Minister Karakachanov. He thanked to the Bulgarian and French teams for their successful efforts to reach an agreement on the final settlement of relations between the Department of Defense and “Airbus Helicopters”.
