Local taxes and fees in Plovdiv municipality can now be paid through the electronic system EASY PAY.
This is another online service we provide to the citizents of Plovdiv in response to the commitment at the beginning of the term, to e-municipality, said the mayor of the city eng. Ivan Totev.
He recalled that at the request of representatives of the business in February 2012 on the website of the Municipality of Plovdiv was published and it is continuously updated public register in which those interested can refer to each restaurant and outdoor serving table or advertising contract.
A few months later we started the payments through post terminals and connecting the system of local taxes with the Control of road transport we increased collection of taxes of the cars.
Another electronic service facilitates many citizens willing to pay online tax obligations to the Plovdiv municipality, especially those living abroad. EASY PAY has 2300 cases in Bulgaria, 98 of which are in Plovdiv, it has offices in over 15 European countries and in the USA, Canada, Turkey, Cyprus and etc.
Online payments can be made not only with Bulgaria issued debit and credit cards, but also with foreign. Paper documents are not needed, it is important to communicate only by personal identification number or Bulstat number for the businesses. The Director of “Local taxes and fees” Mrs. Tsveta Popova announced that fees are between 1 and 5 BGN levs, and e-transaction cost 0.40 BGN levs. The online service is available nonstop and the cash desks of EASY PAY are working in the weekends.
Our ambition is by end the year to introduce fully electronic community in Plovdiv, to minimize physical contact between citizens and officials and the wasting of time in waiting, said the deputy mayor Mr. Stefan Stoyanov.
