The low-budget airline Ryanair announced that it will fly between Plovdiv and Dublin, the capital of Ireland. The flights will start in October 2021 and will take place twice a week. Plovdiv Airport also offers flights to London.
In July, the carrier raised its forecast for the number of passengers. In the 12 months to the end of March 2022, Ryanair forecasts between 90 million and 100 million passengers. In the previous financial year, the total number of passengers was only 27.5 million.
The low-budget company manages to grow thanks to the collapse of some competitors and the reduction of capacity for short European flights.
