The Deputy Mayor of Plovdiv Mr. Stefan Stoyanov and Mr. Yuwen Wang, Deputy Director General of Foreign Affairs of Shenzhen Municipality, together cut the ribbon at the ceremony of opening of the office of the Municipality of Plovdiv in 15th million Chinese metropolis. Both of them stressed on the importance of the representation in the context of dynamically developing relations between the two cities. The office is located in a modern building in Hi-tech Industrial Park, in which are situated some of the largest Chinese companies. The office is provided by the Shenzhen Municipality and from this day forward there will be constantly working employee of the Municipality of Plovdiv, who will carry out the connection between the Chinese and Bulgarian side for the implementation of bilateral projects in the field of economy, tourism, culture, education, science and sports. Partner of Plovdiv Municipality in its first overseas office is The Bulgarian-Chinese Association for Business Development /BCABD/. For the realization of Plovdiv representation was extremely helpful Mr. Derek Feng of Shenzhen Municipality, who worked for three months in the city of hills together with the Municipality of Plovdiv and BCABD and Mr. Ronny Zhao of The Council for Promotion of International Trade / CCPIT, state organization similar as the Industrial Chamber of Commerce, Bulgarian-Chinese Association for Business Development has a contract with it /.
A good start to the venture was given by the signing of a cooperation agreement between “Respect consult” and DeHeng Law Offices, Shenzhen Branch. Both companies are among the nationwide leaders in the field of legal, tax and financial advices and intermediary services. DeHeng Law Office is one of the 4 largest law firms in China. The cooperation between the two offices facilitates and protects the business of both parties.

Later on the Bulgarian delegation met potential investors who are interested in trade with traditional Bulgarian products, logistics centers and high technologies.
