Deputy Mayor Stefan Stoyanov participated in the first sod of the base
A first sod ceremony at a new production base of the leading Belgian company Televic was held today in the village of Tsaratsovo. Official guests were the Deputy Mayor for Business Development Stefan Stoyanov, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium HE Frédéric Meurice, Plovdiv District Governor Yordan Ivanov, Maritsa Mayor Dimitar Ivanov.
Televik Bulgaria is a subsidiary of the Belgian Televik NV Group and an investor in the region since 2006, when it built its first plant for electronic equipment.
“The history of your company is part of the success of the Plovdiv region. Investing in the development and expansion of your business for more than 20 years is an example of the sustainability of the local economy.” With these words Stefan Stoyanov addressed the audience and added that the city of Plovdiv continues to strengthen its position as a leading center for attracting companies from different spheres of work.
The new production base covers an area of nearly 5,000 square meters with the same production portfolio. The company manufactures hospital furniture, transportation and communication systems, as well as multimedia training systems that are used on the London and Shanghai subways and the White House conference rooms.
In 2011 the company opened an R&D center with a focus on software development for the needs of related production, and in 2017 they opened a new office.
